So.... Updates time. First of all, since the last time I wrote a journal on this lovely website, I have attended an anime convention. I went to Anime Banzai 2009 with and in Salt Lake City and it was THE BOMB.COM. Seriously it was loads of fun. They had some crowd control issues, but since it was my first con, it was a great experience. We went all 3 days and I got to meet Chuck Huber, a voice actor known for his portrayals of Hiei from YuYu Hakusho, and Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist. Michelle Ruff was also there and she is known for her portrayals of Rukia Kuchiki in Bleach, Yoko in Gurren Lagann, Alvis and Tatiana in Last Exile, Etna in the Disgaea games. There was also a local musical artist known as Warky, who was awesome. I also bought a bunch of stuff including the cool awesome spectacular hat with kitty ears that now dots my page as my profile picture.

Whoo, I also got to go see the band All that Remains Live at the Murray Theater... again. THEY ARE AMAZING LIVE. Also there was Taking Dawn, who were very awesome, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, who were weird, and Lacuna Coil, WHO ARE AMAZING! I'd heard a few of thier songs, but now I'm a big fan. And, if I do say so myself, thier singer's not too bad in the area of looks...

I also got my ACT score back and this time... I got a 33! I was aiming for over 30, and I got it! I guess I haven't gotten any stupider over the past 2 years, despite evidence to the contrary... But now I have to start applying everywhere... I'm way too lazy to want to do that...

Well, the semester is almost over and I feel pretty good about all my classes so far. I'll hopefully be able to maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA...

I celebrated my birthday over the weekend with an uber epic 30 hour game party! There was video games, and board games and spazzy games and all kinds of games! A bunch of people showed up and it was loads of fun! We had massive amounts of Nachos and Gringo Enchiladas and it was frikkin delicious. But, my cake melted because we didn't put it in the freezer because we thought that since it was snowing outside, we would be okay with just leaving it out. Shows how much we knew. My birthday is actually on Thursday the 19th... And my mom and sister are going to the midnight showing of New Moon, leaving me all alone on that fateful night on which I turn 18... So I'm going to the Attack!Attack! show with my amigo

I have also discovered a new and quite amazing book series called the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson, and if you like fantasy at all, I highly suggest you go pick it up and read it. The first book is a little iffy, but once you pass that it is a series to end all series. It is excellent.
